An inspection survey is performed to examine the bathymetry of the seafloor. Detailed information like cables, pipelines, wrecks, debris and seabed morphology is provided using high quality survey equipment, i.e. multibeam echosounder, side scan sonar, sub bottom profiler and/or magnetometer.

Typical inspection surveys are:

  1. Route survey/Pre-lay survey - prior cable or pipeline installation projects
  2. Site survey - prior installation of a platform, jack-up drilling rig, template, windfarm or another construction
  3. As-laid survey - cables or pipelines which have been installed.
